World History Syllabus
This course is designed for students to explore the history of the world. The students will learn about the various civilizations from across the world and how they have influenced the world in which we live. The students will learn the 12 Elements of Historical Theory and relate them to the study of history and how they affect the world in the 21st Century.

Purpose:
The purpose of this course is to inform students of the various cultures and civilizations from around the world. The course’s instruction will be based upon project-based learning, discussion, and lecture. To help the students to succeed in an ever expanding global economy, they will learn about various cultures and how to interact with the people from these cultures.

To help the students to succeed in an ever expanding global economy, they will learn about various cultures and how to interact with the people from these cultures.

- Be in class prepared to discus and have assignments completed.
- Have an open mind
- Willingness to voice their opinion and listen to others.
- Must be prepared to read and write everyday

- Notebook paper
- Pencils
- Clipboard
- Post-it notes
- White computer paper
- Blue/Black Pens
- Index Cards
Grading:
Grades will be determined on a percentage scale.

Classwork/Homework---------------15%
- The projects grade will consist of all the major projects completed during the year.
- Tests grades will include canvas test, short answer, DBQ and essay tests.
- Classwork/Homework garde includes activities done in and outside of class.
- Quizzes will be both announced and unannounced.
